Past and Future in Acting

In 2021 Mekayla graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Training during the height of the pandemic has allowed her to become proficient at rolling with the punches and adjusting to challenges as they come.

Since graduating Mekayla has been seen onstage as Ariel from "The Little Mermaid" as well as onscreen as multiple characters including Judith in the feature length film "Wieland" directed by Cody Knotts. She was pleased to be able to bring her love for singing and songwriting into "Wieland"as she wrote and performed an original song in the film. Part of which can be heard in the film's trailer HERE.

Now she is currently voicing a character in a new animated series that she is also writing the music for. She is also (as always) writing, recording and producing new music. She is in the process of working on a mini-album that she hopes to be able to share a release date for that shortly.

Voice Acting

Mekayla can currently be heard as the voice of Qiqi in an up and coming animated series "Tea Spirits." Her music can also be heard in the background of the trailer and will be utilized for future episodes.

In the past Mekayla has also narrated many announcements and advertisements for SCDW, a theatre company that utilizes voice actors for many of their pre-show announcements and radio ads.
